  • Wheel alignment system

    Hunter Hawkeye Elite

    • Four-camera measurement
    • Passive wheel targets, no cables or electronics
    • Clamp arms grip the tyre, not the rim; no metal-to-metal contact
    • Fast measurement
    • Mobile cabinet
  • Wheel balancer

    Hunter Road Force Elite

    • Road force test roller: up to 567 kg
    • Rim diameter 254–762 mm, rim width 38–521 mm
    • Tyre diameter up to 1,016 mm, tyre weight up to 79 kg
  • Tyre changer

    Hunter TCX56 + BPS

    • Three-point bead press system (BPS)
    • External clamping for rim diameters of 254–660 mm
    • Tyre diameter up to 1,100 mm, wheel width up to 368 mm

Workflow

How we work

  1. Pre-check

We check tyre pressures, tyre condition and the steering and suspension parts (track rod ends, tie rods, control arm bushes).

  2. Camera measurement

Camber, caster and toe are measured with the Hunter Hawkeye Elite cameras.

  3. Road Force balancing

Wheels are balanced on the Hunter Road Force Elite.

  4. Adjustment and check

Angles are set to the manufacturer's values and we check that the steering wheel sits straight.

Diagnosis & symptoms

These symptoms can point to an alignment or balancing problem

Driving feel & steering

  • Vibration at speed

Vibration through the steering wheel or seat can come from wheel balance or a tyre-wheel mismatch.

  • Pulling to one side

If the car drifts left or right on a straight road when you let go of the wheel, the angles may be out.

  • Off-centre steering wheel

The steering wheel sits at an angle while the car drives straight.

  • Instability under braking or at speed

The car struggles to hold its line under hard braking or at speed.

Tyres & mechanics

  • Uneven tyre wear

The inner or outer shoulder of the tyre wears faster than the rest.

  • Higher rolling resistance

Wheels that are out of alignment scrub against the road and can increase rolling resistance and fuel use.

  • After a pothole or kerb strike

After a hard impact, the alignment angles and the steering angle sensor should be checked.

  • After new tyres or suspension work

After fitting new tyres, dampers or coilovers, the angles should be checked again.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Wheel Alignment & Road Force Balancing

What is the difference between standard balancing and Hunter Road Force balancing?

Standard balancing spins the wheel freely and measures its weight imbalance. The Road Force Elite also presses a load roller against the tyre and measures how the force of the tyre and rim assembly varies under load, as on the road; that is how we find the cause of vibrations that standard balancing does not cure.

How often should wheel alignment be done?

There is no fixed interval. Have it checked after new tyres or new suspension or steering parts, after a hard pothole or kerb strike, and when you see uneven tyre wear or the car pulls to one side.

Can my wheels get scratched during alignment?

The Hawkeye Elite's adaptors grip the tyre, not the rim; there is no metal-to-metal contact with the rim.

How long do alignment and balancing take?

It depends on the car and the adjustment needed; after the measurement we let you know the time and price on WhatsApp.
